Groups of all ages will learn about the Lee family and the role this home played during the Civil War.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are needed to give tours and assist with programs and special events at Endview Plantation and Lee Hall Mansion. The time commitment is either 10:00 – 1:00 or 1:00 - 4:00 on weekdays, 10:00 -1:30 or 1:30 – 5:00 on Saturdays or 1:00 – 5:00 on Sundays. Volunteers are required to work at least one shift a month. Weekend volunteers are especially needed. Training is provided. The minimum age to volunteer is sixteen.

Qualifications include a basic knowledge of American history, the ability to memorize facts and learn new information quickly and to be comfortable speaking to large groups of people. Lee Hall Mansion is an historic house museum operated by the Virginia War Museum. By joining the Virginia War Museum Foundation, patrons can assure Lee Hall Mansion's growth and interpretation of Virginia's dynamic Civil War heritage. Members receive The Correspondent, the official newsletter of the Virginia War Museum, and other mailings throughout the year. In addition, members receive a 10% discount in museum gift shops at the Virginia War Museum, Endview Plantation and Lee Hall Mansion and free entrance to the museums.
