Groups of all ages will learn about the Lee family and the role this home played during the Civil War.

History Van Tour, World War I on the Virginia Peninsula

May 18, 2019 - 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

World War I impacted the Peninsula with new military bases, increased population, and large contracts for the Newport News shipyard. This was the beginning of the area’s economic transition to the military industrial complex. Learn more about the Victory Arch, Hilton Village, Camp Eustis, Lee Hall Village, and other Great War sites with historian J. Michael Moore.

Cost is $45.00 per person.  Expect extensive walking. The tour leaves from the Lee Hall Mansion parking lot plan to arrive at least twenty minutes before departure. Participants should bring a bag lunch, drink and small cooler. Payment is due no later than two weeks before the tour and guarantees your reservation. No refunds one week prior to the tour.
