Civil War Van Tour: The Seven Days Battles Part I
In June 1862, the Union Army was poised to capture Richmond and end the Civil War. Learn how General Robert E. Lee’s counterattack drove the Federal troops back from the gates of the Confederate capital. Tour includes Fort Magruder, Eltham’s Landing, New Kent C.H., Chickahominy Bluffs, Beaver Dam Creek, and Gaines’s Mill. Tour leaves from Lee Hall Mansion. Plan to arrive at least twenty minutes before departure time. Bring a bag lunch, drink, and small cooler. Expect moderate walking.
