Group Tours

Groups of all ages will learn about the Lee family and the role this home played during the Civil War.

Civil War Van Tour: Forward to Richmond, “The Stride of a Giant”

March 18, 2017 - 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join historian J. Michael Moore as he follows the advance of the Union Army of the Potomac during the spring of 1862. Sites visited include Fort Monroe, Cedar Lane, Young’s Mill, Warwick C.H., Dam No. 1, and Yorktown. Tour leaves from Lee Hall Mansion. Plan to arrive at least twenty minutes before departure time. Bring a bag lunch, drink, and small cooler.  Expect extensive walking.

Admission is $45.00/person. Reservations must be made in advance and payment is due no later than 2 weeks before the tour. Make checks payable to Lee Hall Mansion. Mail to Lee Hall Mansion, 163 Yorktown Rd., Newport News, VA 23603, Attn: J. Michael Moore. No refunds one week prior to tour.
